On 2nd March 2023, IOM launched the O-REMIT project, funded by the Belgian Federal Public Service of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation – Ministry of Foreign Affairs Belgium.
The project is aimed at:
- Analyzing remittance flows out of Belgium and remittance behaviour
- Creating awareness to remit senders and receivers on their remit options
- Offering opportunities for the diaspora to convert some of the #remittances into investments
The project will focus on three countries: Senegal, DRC and Morocco!
ADEPT is one of the main partners to co-lead this project. Other partnerships include the National Bank of Belgium, ZidiCircle, Ondernemers voor Ondernemers vzw, and the Diaspora Advisory Board.
