ADEPT is a service delivery platform working with African Diaspora Development Organisations (ADDOs) in Europe that are active in the development of Africa. ADEPT works and engages with 85 countries (28 EU countries, plus Switzerland and Norway, and 55 African countries) through delivery of services to diaspora organisations and individuals in Europe and Africa. According to the ADEPT Statutes, to become a General Member, organisations must:
Be legally registered as a not-for-profit organisation in Europe
Have a majority of trustees “identify themselves as being of African heritage”
Commit to the purpose, aim and services of ADEPT
Pay the membership fee
Deliver development projects in one or more African countries (for platforms or umbrella groups, they must have 10 (ten) or more members delivering projects in African countries).
Organisations that meet the criteria A to E, but DO NOT HAVE development projects in Africa, can be registered as Associate Members, with access to ADEPT services, the right to attend General Assembly meetings, but no right to vote.
All organisation interested can apply to be a networker.
